Many individuals in the truth movement and alternative media are calling our current tribulations a spiritual battle, for the United States and the world. This IS the core of the problem we face today. We do not just face medical, political, legal, social, economic or environmental events. If we fail to acknowledge the battle between the forces of good and evil for what it is, we cannot effectively solve the problems we face. Acknowledgment of this spiritual battle for the hearts and souls of humankind identifies the root of what is destroying us and gives us the framework for the solutions we must seek.

This spiritual battle is manifesting in the physical realm/dimension to make visible what is taking place in the unseen realms of “principalities and powers.” By design all parts of society in countries around the world are in chaos now. There are no absolutes – truth has become relative – whatever anyone says it is from the individual perspective, whether accurate reflection of reality or not.
The rule of law as we have known it has become non-existent. Laws and rules seem to have no meaning whatsoever. There is no accountability, even for the most heinous actions. A flood of illegal invaders cross our borders daily and have zero consequences for breaking our laws –in fact many are literally committing rape and murder and getting away with these horrific crimes.
Contrast this lawlessness with the FBI aggressively criminalizing Americans as with the pro-life groups and J-6 protesters. Our founding documents – Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and the US Constitution—have no meaning and no longer protect the people from the rogue dictatorial government.
America today is in the midst of a spiritual and biblical movement. Many people are recognizing the spiritual nature of our battles. People are more open to the existence of God –as our Creator God, a God of mercy, a God of order, and a God of love.
At this time of Pentecost, May 19, 2024, we honor the day 2000 years ago on which God poured out his Holy Spirit into Jesus’ disciples for His New Covenant to unfold and the Gospel to begin to spread around world. For those who are devout and resolute in their belief in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we need to operate in the Spirit. How is this done?
The Bible reveals the wisdom we need the most right now. If we, as believers, desire to follow God’s will, above all else, we should consider what God values: repentance for our sins, love for our fellow man, trust in God, obedience to His will and His laws, sharing the Gospel with others. We are today living under God’s New Covenant. The Great Commission from Jesus Christ –given to all believers—still stands: spread the gospel to the ends of the earth. God cares for all people and desires that no one perishes, that all repent and are saved.
Today’s spiritual battle is not fought with swords and guns; it is waged with truth and ideas. The words contained in the Bible are sharper than any two-edged sword. We must speak Truth: God’s Truth. Biblical Truth. God’s Truth is our primary weapon. This is how we operate in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Many sense a Great Awakening across America, so we need to encourage it! There’s no more sitting on the sidelines. In the choice between good and evil, each of us must make a stand in courage and faith. Sometimes others wait to see courage from others before they act. Courage is contagious. The apostles of Jesus Christ were the most courageous men in history. They gave their lives to spread God’s Good News, the Truth. If we are Christ followers, we should follow their example and do the same. Operate in the Spirit of Truth and let your light shine! Speak the Truth, as Paul described in his letter to the Ephesians 5:8-14 NKJV:
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the [b]Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather [c]expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are [d]exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14 Therefore He says:
“Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light.”
Pentecost marks the moment the Spirit of Truth came to testify about our Lord and Savior Jesus. This Pentecost, focus on God’s Spirit, given to all and never so relevant as these days of lies and great deceptions. Face this turmoil with God’s Spirit of Truth.
As we celebrate Pentecost in 2024, let us each commit to operate in the Spirit, turn back to God, and take back our institutions, towns/cities, local governments and places of work with the Truth.
