Dear Mr. Austin: We hope this letter finds you well, in the midst of another busy bureaucratic day, tirelessly ensuring our military is shaped into something utterly unrecognizable from its proud past. It takes true vision to take an institution renowned for its discipline, readiness, and lethality and turn it into… whatever it is now.
First and foremost, you deserve credit for championing the COVID-19 jab mandate. It’s not every day that we get to watch military readiness drop precipitously as dedicated service members are faced with the choice of experimental medical treatments or their careers. Truly, this was a bold step in reshaping our armed forces by subtraction.
Not only did you purge patriots and those whose family members had served in the military for generations in one fell swoop, but as Attorney Todd Callender wrote in his lawsuit against the Department of Defense, “you poisoned your own people with the experimental death shot.”
Your ability to injure service members has been much more potent and targeted than strikes by our enemies. Where did you learn such a dangerous skill, War College? Thanks to you, Lloyd Austin where would the military be without all those jab injuries you flat-out denied or just plain covered up? We recognize your cleverness in blaming it on a system glitch in the Defense Medical Epidemiological Database (DMED).
Speaking of bold decisions, your brief but memorable “AWOL” period for an undisclosed medical procedure certainly set an inspiring example. In a military where accountability and transparency are supposed to be paramount, it was quite a change to see the top leader of the Department of Defense demonstrate the stealth approach of disappearing. Of course maybe this was your attempt to build trust by having the SecDef vanishing without explanation? Is that your morale booster for the rank and file?
Then, of course, there’s your legendary approach to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Watching you morph into a Darth Vader clone by donning a full-face shield, mask, and gloves as if attending a high-risk biohazard operation—while addressing troops outdoors—was truly a masterclass in leading by example.
It’s not like the military trains its personnel to assess and manage risk or anything. Your steadfast commitment to layers of protection in the face of… open air… has surely emboldened our enemies to reconsider engaging such a well-armored leader.

Your efforts in making the military “less lethal” have been especially a new twist on tactics. After all, why would a military force want to excel in, you know, military force? I’m sure our potential adversaries sleep much better at night knowing we’re focused on inclusivity instead of strategy. You think there could be a chance our enemies will be emboldened knowing you purged our best warfighters out of service as domestic extremists, insider threats and white supremacists? And of course there is also your redirection of the defense budget, once spent on cutting-edge technology and training, to now providing mandatory workshops on pronoun usage. Who needs weapons supremacy when you’ve got a well-documented commitment to feelings?
So, hats off to you, Secretary Austin, for your tireless work in transforming our military into a social experiment rather than a fearsome fighting force. The future of our national defense has never looked so… confused.
